about the role

This position is primarily focused on providing IV therapy and supporting patient care within our functional medicine practice. You’ll work closely with our providers and clinical team to deliver safe, attentive, and personalized care in a welcoming outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate is highly skilled and confident with IV placement, attentive to detail, comfortable working independently, and passionate about creating an exceptional patient experience.

Position: Full-Time Registered Nurse – IV Therapy
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Start and manage peripheral IVs

  • Administer IV therapies, medications, and injections as ordered

  • Assess patients and obtain vital signs before and during treatment

  • Monitor patients throughout IV therapy and respond appropriately to patient needs

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

  • Follow medication administration, infection-control, and patient safety protocols

  • Educate patients regarding treatments and aftercare

  • Communicate with providers regarding patient questions, concerns, and changes in condition

  • Maintain IV supplies, treatment areas, and inventory

  • Assist providers and the clinical team with additional nursing responsibilities as needed

  • Provide a warm, professional, and attentive patient experience

  • Assist with administrative tasks and day-to-day clinic operations as needed


  • Current Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

  • Strong IV insertion and venipuncture skills

  • Current BLS certification

  • Excellent clinical judgment and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Dependable, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Previous IV therapy, infusion, emergency, hospital, or outpatient nursing experience preferred
